Products

What size should I order?

All the product pages contain sizing charts, please refer to these as well as any specific details provided on the individual product pages. One of the best ways of working out your size is to compare the measurements provided with a similar item that you already own.

How should I care for my 8Y8 apparel?

To prolong the life and quality of your apparel it should be washed cool, inside-out and hang dried. But, pay attention to any special care instructions on the product pages. Washing hot and machine drying on a hot setting will drastically shorten the lifespan of any clothing. Not only is washing cool and hang drying a lot better for your clothes, it’s also a lot better for the environment.

Will the clothes shrink?

No, they shouldn’t shrink a noticeable amount. All fabrics are pre-shrunk, unless otherwise stated on the product page. Inevitably there may be some small variation after washing, especially when washed hot or machine dried. The industry standard allows for 3%–4.5% variation, although realistically this probably wouldn’t even be noticeable in normal usage.

What type of printing process is used on your apparel?

The majority of it is screen printed using water-based ink to create an extremely soft, comfortable and eco-friendly print. Sometimes special dyes or discharge inks are also used, which will be stated in the product description.

Will the designs fade?

The prints are extremely durable, often out-lasting whatever they are printed on. But some prints may fade after a number of washes, especially if washed hot and machine dried hot. Dyed fabrics can be more susceptible to fading than prints, especially if washed hot and machine dried.

I’ve been testing 8Y8 apparel for years, and when properly cared for it can easily last years. I’ve still got some of the first ever 8Y8 T-shirts that are worn and washed regularly and still look as good as the day they were printed.

Do you do your own screen printing and dying?

Yes. I can be a bit of a perfectionist at times, so having control of every step in the process means I can maintain the quality I expect. Doing everything myself does usually work out more expensive and time-consuming though. So, if circumstances dictate that outsourcing the printing to a professional printing company is the best option, then I won’t rule that out. You can be sure that I’ll be personally inspecting each and every print that’s outsourced though.

Does 8Y8 ship internationally?

Yes, you can shop from almost anywhere in the world. Please note that some restrictions may apply and when shopping from outside of the UK additional customs duties or fees may be charged by the destination country. How much does shipping cost? And how long does it take?

Multiple shipping options are available for some countries. The easiest way to get a postage estimate is to add products to your cart and then use the postage calculator on the Cart page. Please refer to the Delivery & Returns page for additional information.

What’s your return policy?

The goal is 100% customer satisfaction, so if you’re not happy, tell me why. Items can usually be returned providing that they are unused and unwashed. If any items are defective then a refund or replacement will usually be issued, subject to stock availability. For terms and conditions please see the Delivery & Returns page. Orders

Can I cancel or change an order?

Orders are usually processed within 2 working days. If you get in touch before your order is packed and posted then I should be able to make changes, but I cannot make any promises. If an order has already been dispatched then I obviously can’t make any changes and you will have to arrange a return.

What payment cards do you accept?

Payments are processed via PayPal, who accept most major credit and debit cards, such as Visa, MasterCard, Maestro, American Express, etc.

Do I need a PayPal account to make a purchase?

No, you can checkout using PayPal even if you don’t have a PayPal account. Just checkout as normal and your debit/credit card will be processed by PayPal as per usual. Although, if you do have a PayPal account then you can use it.

How secure is the 8Y8 shop?

PayPal enables you to pay without revealing your financial details to 8Y8. Do you offer wholesale or bulk pricing?

Yes, as long as our approach and ethics are compatible. I like to make sure that 8Y8 is a good fit for the companies that I work with, so if you’re interested please get in touch with a bit of background information about your company. Lets talk!

Do you accept designs from third parties?

All of the designs are 8Y8 originals, which means that design submissions are not accepted. I’m open to collaborations though.

Do you do design work outside of 8Y8?

Occasionally. It depends on a lot of things and is decided on a case-by-case basis, but if our vision and motivation line up then we can definitely talk about it—say hello.
